The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is often associated with clicking and popping sounds, difficulty chewing and headaches. When the TMJ is the source of these symptoms we refer to this as temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD).

Facial pain can be caused by a variety of factors, including dental problems, sinus infections, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, nerve damage, or even tension and stress.
